The Reverend Doctor Byron Peart accepted the call to ministry as a teenager. He has served the Church of God (Headquartered in Cleveland, Tennessee) and the community in several capacities. He served as a pastor in Chicopee, Massachusetts for over four years. Currently, Byron Peart sits as the Pastor of Emanuel Temple of Prayer in West Hartford, Connecticut since 2005. Additionally, he is a re-elected member of the Church of God Southern New England Regional Council, and liaison to the Youth Board. Simultaneously, Pastor Peart coordinates the Calling and Ministry Studies Program (CAMS).
Professional Details
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies and Psychology from Barrington College, a Master’s degree in Organizational Behavior from the University of Hartford, a Master’s in Theology and Ethics, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Hartford Seminary. Furthermore, Doctor Peart was an Alumni speaker at the Seminary’s graduation in May 2018. He is currently an adjunct professor at Hartford Seminary and The Pentecostal Theological Seminary (PTS). He has been a board member of Hartford’s Camp Courant, the United Way Allocations Committee, and the West Indian Foundation. In addition, he is the director of the PTS Certificate Program for Southern New England Church of God.
Personal Details
Doctor Peart is a passionate student and expositor of the Bible, teacher, and facilitator. He is married to Reverend Georgia (Young). Together they have three adult daughters and three grandchildren. In short, Pastor Peart is a servant-leader who naturally loves and ministers to people with unwavering commitment and humility.
